Building in North Shore
Good houses on good land, planned for a household that no longer exists, with a conservation control or a heritage item somewhere in the mix. The work is usually structural: opening up what was closed off, adding a level, or building down the slope.
It rewards documentation. Our Mosman project turned a carport into a three-level studio on the side of a cliff, and at Balmoral we retrofitted a residential elevator into an existing multi-storey house.

Can you add a lift to my house?
Very often. We retrofitted a residential elevator into a multi-storey home at Balmoral. Feasibility depends on the structure and where the shaft can go.
Do you work with heritage houses?
Yes. Castlecrag is a heritage conservation area. Heritage controls shape the design and usually mean a DA rather than a CDC.
How far is the North Shore from your office?
We are in Queenscliff, so the lower North Shore is a short drive across the Spit or via the Wakehurst Parkway.
